Introduction

Adrian Eberhardt ("I," "me," or "my") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it. This policy explains how your data is handled in the CashCounter app.

Summary

CashCounter is designed with privacy as a priority. The app stores your financial information locally on your device and in your personal iCloud account if sync is enabled. I do not collect, access, transmit, process, or store your personal financial data on any servers.

Data Storage and Collection

All your financial data, including:

• Transaction records
• Bank account information
• Categories and budgets
• Receipt images
• Notes and other personal financial information

is stored:

• Locally on your device
• In your personal iCloud account (only if you enable iCloud sync)

Required App Permissions

CashCounter requires several permissions to provide its functionality:

• Camera: Used only to take pictures of receipts that are stored locally on your device or in your iCloud account. I never access your camera remotely.
• Photo Library: Used only to import receipt images that are stored locally on your device or in your iCloud account. I never access your photos remotely.
• Notifications: Used only for local reminders about entering transactions. These notifications are scheduled on your device and don't involve any external servers.
• iCloud: Used only to sync your data across your personal devices through your iCloud account. This sync is managed by Apple and I don't have access to this data.

In-App Purchases and Payments

CashCounter offers premium features through in-app purchases. When you make a purchase:

• All payment processing is handled exclusively by Apple through the App Store
• I do not collect, store, or have access to your payment information (credit card details, billing address, etc.)
• I only receive confirmation that a purchase was made to unlock premium features
• Purchase information is stored locally on your device to verify your premium status
• Apple's privacy policy governs how they handle your payment data

Data Sharing and Third Parties

CashCounter does not share your data with any third parties because I don't collect your data in the first place. The app does not include any third-party analytics tools, advertising frameworks, or tracking mechanisms.

CSV Import and Export

The app allows you to import and export CSV files containing transaction data. These imports and exports are processed entirely on your device. When you share exported files, you control where they go using iOS's standard sharing functionality.

Data Security

While I don't store your data on servers, CashCounter implements security best practices for local data protection:

• Data stored in your device's secure storage area
• iCloud sync uses Apple's encrypted sync mechanisms
• The app does not store sensitive information (like passwords) in plain text

Data Retention and Deletion

Since all data is stored locally on your device or in your personal iCloud account, data retention is under your control:

• Deleting the app will remove all locally stored data
• Data in your iCloud account can be managed through your iCloud settings
• You can manually delete any transaction, account, or receipt at any time

Children's Privacy

CashCounter is not directed to children under the age of 13. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

I may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted within app updates or on the App Store listing. You are advised to review this privacy policy periodically for any changes.

Your Rights

Since I don't collect your data, many standard privacy rights (access, correction, deletion, etc.) are directly under your control through the app's interface and your device settings.
